Dream Big Work Hard

Author's Note:This story is on the book Brian's Hunt where Brian hunt's a bear that killed his friends.  He never gave up and eventually killed the bear.

If you were stranded somewhere what would you do?  Would you give up or would you do your best to stay alive.  The main character Brian in “Brian's Hunt” by Gary Paulsen chose not to give up and stuck with his plan.  He ended up making a good choice and killed the bear that killed his friends.  The morale of this story is to never give up.  If you never give up good things will eventually happen.

The book Hunger Games had a similar life lesson like that since if you’re in the dome and you didn’t give up then there’s a better chance of not dieing.  When Katniss Everdeen, the main character, was starving she could could given up and let the other people kill her but she didn’t and instead kept working and eventually won the entire game.  That shows that she never gave up and eventually won the game.

Michael Jordan also had something happen to him and he never gave up.  When he was a Sophomore in high school he tried out for the varsity basketball team.  He ended up working at his game and improving.  Michael Jordan was the star of his Emsley A. Laney J.V team and kept working at his game and now he’s a Hall of Famer and could be one of the best basketball players to ever play the game of basketball.  This shows that Michael Jordan never gave up and both people ended up on top just like Brian did

This reminds me of when I tried out for basketball my first year.  I ended up on the B-team and I was really upset with myself for not making A.  That year I worked really hard on my basketball skills and once try-outs came I knew that I had gotten better.  Me and my friend ended up getting moved up and two other people got moved down.  The point there is just like Michael Jordan I didn't make the team and worked hard and eventually made the team.

Although the first example the person succeeded by surviving the longest in a game and the second and third example the person got cut from a high school basketball they are similar because Nobody gave up and eventually came out on top and succeeded.  This can count as anyone whether it’s trying out for a team, hunting something, and trying to get better at anything.  Never give up and eventually things will turn out the way you want them to.
